About Our School
Our MISSION

AT FB MEEKINS,

we believe in the power of play. Through our child-led, discovery based program, children test ideas and experiment with the world around them through hands-on, engaging, and developmentally appropriate play. They explore cause and effect, develop language and social skills, and learn self-control over themselves and their environment. Our teachers support and encourage children as they engage and explore, allowing each child to grow as an individual—socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

What Parents are Saying

My oldest son loved this school, and we’re sending our second son to Meekins this fall. It is such a gift to watch your child learn while you’re in the classroom with themEach day is filled with exploration, art, creative thinking, problem solving, outdoor exploration, and so much more. I look forward to continuing to grow as a parent and watching my child grow as a person through the wonderful experiences Meekins offers him!

We love Meekins…the staff, the families and the learning through play philosophy. We have sent both of our children there, and the only regret we have is that we didn’t send them earlier! The community vibe at Meekins is something truly special, and we’re so glad we are a part of it!

We have been thrilled with our experience at Meekins. I love how the teachers at Meekins help to foster independence and imagination through learning through play, and their readiness to allow kids to explore and hone their interests. I have learned so many useful parenting tools from the teachers while volunteering in the school and believe Meekins has given my children a healthy foundation that encourages creativity, self-assurance, and an interest in learning.”

FB Meekins is a cooperative preschool in which parents play an integral role in their child's classroom experience and in the operation of the school. The result is a tight-knit community of teachers, parents and families working together to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment in which our children can learn and grow.
