welcome to the
Yellows Class
This is a wonderful class for your child’s first preschool experience. Open to children between the ages of 2 and 3, the main focus of the Yellows class is on the social and emotional development of the very young child. Through a variety of activities and nurturing guidance the children are free to explore and create. Verbal skills advance, friendships develop, and pre-science and math concepts are introduced. In September there is a gradual schedule to ease the children into the school year. There is also an extra parent in the classroom for the first month of school.
There is no requirement to be toilet trained (as is the case for all Meekins classes). When your child is ready for that step, the teachers are happy to assist in the process.

Eligibility: Children between the ages of 2 and 3
Tuition: $1962 for the 2020/21 school year, ($218 per month)
Class hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:15am – 12:15pm
Maximum enrollment: 14 students
Teacher: Kristy Schulenburg
Teacher’s aide: Theresa Buxton
There are always three adults in the classroom: the teacher, an aide, and a parent, making the adult to child ratio (1:4.7).
Parents with a child in this class can expect to co-op in the school approximately 8 times during the school year.

FB Meekins is a cooperative preschool in which parents play an integral role in their child's classroom experience and in the operation of the school. The result is a tight-knit community of teachers, parents and families working together to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment in which our children can learn and grow.
