welcome to the
Kindergarten Class
The Kindergarten class is an extension of our Reds 5-day program, where students stay at school for an additional 2 hours, 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs). Our program follows a developmentally appropriate curriculum and complies with the Fairfax County POS (Program of Studies). Upon completion of our Kindergarten program, your child is eligible to enter public school in either Kindergarten or 1st Grade. Our Kindergarten class has a maximum of ten children with two teachers. This allows for daily one-on-one instruction and small group learning. While most children will benefit from our program, we find it especially valuable for children who turn 5 just before the FCPS cutoff of Sept 30. If you are on the fence about whether your child is socially or emotionally ready for Kindergarten, we welcome the opportunity to help further prepare your child for their elementary education in a fun, outdoor-focused, nurturing environment.
